What's New at Country Walk
COUNTRY WALK CELEBRATES 90 PERCENT SOLD MARK
Approximately 90 percent of the original 300 homes at Country Walk of Lake Ridge, a community in Whiting, designed especially for those 55-and-over, have been sold said Danielle Kokes, vice president of sales and marketing for the Kokes Organization, builders of the resort community.
“We’re celebrating this milestone by offering 12 specially designated Courtyard homes that include at no extra charge a number of upgrades,” Kokes said.
“These remaining Courtyard homes -- in one of the most desirable neighborhoods within the community -- now come fully equipped with deluxe General Electric appliances. Included are a stainless steel side-by-side refrigerator, a range with extra large sealed burners, a space saver microwave oven, and a super capacity quiet power dishwasher.” She added that kitchens also include granite counter tops with a choice of edging, ceramic tile flooring, and 42-inch Aristokraft kitchen cabinetry with three door styles and a choice of ten finishes.
“These Courtyard homes are attached, single level, one and two bedroom residences with an oversized connecting garage. Two models – The Laurel and The Fairfield – are priced from $173,900 and $196,900 respectively. Both are ideal for singles and couples who want all the benefits and onsite recreational amenities of a resort community.”
The clubhouse is within walking distance of the available Courtyard homes and features an outdoor pool, a state-of-the-art fitness center, billiard room, and a great room for parties, dances and other forms of entertainment. The recreation area, adjacent to the clubhouse, includes tennis and bocce courts.
Kokes said the efficient floor plans, the included features, the attached garage and especially the onsite clubhouse are attributes that attract active adults to Country Walk. "We believe that comparatively speaking, we offer the best value in the area."
Kokes emphasized another reason why home buyers are drawn to Lake Ridge communities— the company’s Peace of Mind Protection Program. She said the program completely eliminates the possibility of a buyer from owning two homes at the same time. “If for some reason, one of our buyers cannot sell their existing home within six months after leaving a deposit with us, we will return the buyer’s deposit in full without a penalty of any kind,” she stated. “We believe our Peace of Mind Protection program is a new home buyer’s dream come true.”
She added that home buyers can save up to $20,000 on other select free-standing two bedroom, two-bath ranch styled homes that are already on their way to being finished.
“More and more people who tour our models have sold their houses and want to move into a newly constructed home very quickly, usually within four to five months. We can accommodate these people, and believe that this trend will continue as the economy improves.”
Kokes cited a number of published reports attesting to economic improvement. She pointed out that now is the best time to buy because soon new home prices will begin to rise.
