What's New at Country Walk
OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES AT COUNTRY WALK IN FULL SWING
Now that the cold of winter is just a distant memory, the residents living at Country Walk of Lake Ridge, an active adult community developed by the Kokes Organization, focus their attention from the many indoor recreation offerings to having fun in the sun said Jeff Mead, a Kokes family member.
Mead observed that although a significant number of homeowners continue to take advantage of the indoor state-of-the-art fitness center, billiard and card rooms, as well as the arts and crafts studio, many are now focused on the great outdoors. "The outdoor pool is definitely the place to be," Mead commented and added, "Residents also find the tennis and bocce courts to be a wonderful way to keep active. Based on my observation, Country Walk residents are energetic people who have discovered an entirely new lifestyle and are enjoying every moment of it.”
Danielle Kokes, vice president of sales and marketing noted, “Now that the community is in its final phase, friendships have been established and new residents are welcomed on a regular basis.”
Upon completion, the community will consist of 188 single family detached homes all with two bedrooms and two baths. In addition, 116 attached Courtyard homes in four styles will round out the community. Kokes stated that the combination of these home styles provides buyers with a wide selection of offerings.
Kokes pointed out one of the most popular models is The Grenville. This free-standing home features two bedrooms and two baths, a screened porch, sunroom, an expanded kitchen with center island that doubles as a breakfast bar. Kokes noted that the kitchen separates the home’s great room from the formal dining room to create a perfectly balanced living area. “Augmenting the home’s appeal is the master bedroom distinguished by a double door entry, oversized closet and master bath with double vanity.” She added that a multi-purposed second bedroom is “ideal for guests, private office or exercise room.”
Buyers can select from three exterior variations all of which feature 1,789 square feet of living space and a 415 square foot, two car garage.
Kokes explained that a total of only 17 Grenville homes will be built. Fourteen have been sold including one just last week. She added that specific premium sites overlooking the community’s open area have been reserved especially for the Grenville model.
She also noted that the Courtyard homes have contributed significantly to the community’s overall appeal. “We’re beginning to draw potential buyers that are considering the purchase of a Courtyard residence as a second home,” she said.
“Because the pricing is so reasonable, a number of visitors have commented that they are considering Country Walk as a summer locale while spending the winter months in a warmer climate.” Courtyard home prices start at $179,900.
Kokes noted that Country Walk represents the Lake Ridge lifestyle in a relaxed country setting. She added that 60 percent of the 200 acres that make up Country Walk will remain untouched open land.
“The location offers sought after tranquility and a touch of seclusion yet it is surrounded by a variety of cultural, sporting, entertainment and shopping opportunities as well as nearby professional and medical services.”
